TM G Steel front base and hammer housing review

Date:2016-07-09

Today we are going to review the Guns Modify Steel CNC front base and hammer housing for TM G series .

All these 3 parts are full made by 5 axis cnc with steel and QPQ surface finished . All key date made in 1 process .

Check this video to show how we make these parts .   -->check here!<--

Ok , let’s check the products .

Whole family . Steel / 5 Axis CNC made / CO2 ready ...,we see something on the label.

We start from the front base .

We see the main difference from TM to Guns Modify , we will find out why .

We hold the TM front base , and push the inner barrel set down and mark “Zero” with a heavy steel .

Then push the inner barrel set up , we can see it moved from the “Zero” about 5mm . That’s cause by the gap of the front base and the hopup unit . It will became swing left and right if we hold as a gun . That’s why airsoft IPSC shooter always saids Hicapa was more accurate than Glock in airsoft .

The same test with Guns Modify products . Mark the “Zero” first .

And then push the barrel set . Very small gap , we put a white paper behind to let you see the gap clearly .

Second , TM base nothing to support the hopup unit . It cause the hopup unit swing up and down when blowback .

Guns Modify front base fully support the hopup unit .

We improved the Glock just like Hicaps , when the gun was complete install , hopup unit almost fixed , will not swing when shooting .

...

No.2 , hammer housing For TM G17

We add a mag stabilizer as TM G18C into G17 hammer housing .

This break point always kick my ass ```````

That’s why we make it with steel .

We plan to make it with aluminum and steel before , but after some consider , we only make with steel . More harder in produce but a large improve in product life . Especially use 150% hammer spring / use co2 / dry fire all the time .

...

No. 3 Hammer housing For TM G18C

Not a big improved but steel , but we already cut the corner for our stainless steel auto sear .

See what will happened if you use a harder hammer spring and TM date steel auto sear .

Please check our stainless steel auto sear ,the contact point as wide as the nozzle housing contact point . And we changed the angle of the sear , only 1/4-1/3 release force of TM stock sear .

Please see our stainless steel auto sear review .-->check here!<--

At last : A lot of peoples ask me this question . If I use a steel front base and hammer housing , will the slide wear out quicker than aluminum ?

The answer is NO !!!! Because most of the wear out cause by the chippings . They go into the gap between slide and housing , just like a sand-paper . Even you polished the slide and housing they will scratch each other very quick . If one side is hard enough it will reduce the scratch .

And on the other side, all about money . haha , check below ,you will know which is the best and right way to save money .

Below is Hypothesis~~~Not the real test result.

Hypothesis:We set the slide and housing gap is 0 at beginning . And when the gap reach to 100 , you will throw away the parts and buy a new one .

Hypothesis every single blowback :

aluminum with aluminum will wear out 0.5 at each side .

aluminum with steel will wear out 1 in aluminum side and steel will wear 0 . (That’s true , for aluminum , steel is much harder ) .

1, left(Al slide + Al housing ) = right (Al housing +Al slide ) = 1 , Total 2 .

After 25shots the gap will be , 25left+25right=50

After 50shots the gap will be , 25left+25right=100

After 100 shots you have to buy a new al slide + new al housing .

2, left(Al slide + steel housing ) = right (steel housing +Al slide ) = 1 , Total 2 .

After 25shots the gap will be , 25left+25right=50

After 50shots the gap will be , 25left+25right=100

After 100 shots you ONLY have to buy a new al slide , that’s all !!!

You can use a steel front base and hammer housing for a very long time ( You don’t use steel sldie , right ? haha .)

Have a nice day and happy shooting !
